Tea Drinkers

MMMMMMmmmmmmmm..................yes we are definitely tea drinkers. There is nothing we love better than to sit back and relax while sipping (or gulping.....cause it's just sooo yummy!) on some tea. As time goes on we will add to this list and if anyone wants to recommend some type of tea for us to try then just comment and we will try to find it!

Madam Flavour Tea

  • White Tea, with Rose -A beautiful blend, subtle and sweet.
  • Grey de Luxe - A warm, soothing tea experience with that special touch of lemon myrtle.
  • Green, Jasmine with Pear - A cup to enjoy, with a wonderful and unique sweet, fruity taste!
  • Mint and Lavender Tisane- Delicious and refreshing and makes a yummy iced tea as well!
  • Madame Flavour's Special Blend - This little concoction is great for when you are tired and in need of something uplifting and strangely comforting.

Make-Me

So this time we are doing a make me on.........

Hessian-Stamped Cushions

Materials:

  • Hessian
  • Paint tray
  • Paint (any colour you wish to suit your style)
  • Scissors
  • Foam
  • Pillow stuffing
  • Cardboard
  • Pen
  • Fabric of your choice (just bigger than the piece of hessian)
  • Glue
  • Newspaper
  • (Wool)
Step1: Lay down your newspaper on your work surface so no paint gets on your nice shiny table. Design your stamps by lightly drawing on the foam with pen (try to keep it simple otherwise its too hard to cut out), then grab your scissors and cut (SLOWLY) around your shape.

Step2: Glue your shape onto a piece of cardboard and let it dry (otherwise it will come off when your dip it in the paint). Then pour your paint into a paint tray and dab your stamp into it evenly. If there is too much on your stamp then gently dab it off onto the side of your tray or onto the newspaper before testing it out on there.

Step3: Picture in your head where you are going to position your stamps on the hessian before you stuff it up on your nice piece of expensive fabric...cough cough. Once you have done that then you can finally place the stamp (covered in paint) onto your hessian and press down lightly. Let it dry for a while before moving on...

Step4:  Take your piece of hessian and the fabric that you chose, and start to pin them together (making sure that you do them front sides together and that you leave one end open!), then start up the sewing machine and sew along all 3 sides.
Step5: Once you have that sewn up,turn it in the other way and then you can stuff it until it is sooo stuffed you couldn't fit a...an.... well, yeah. Next you can either sew on a button (and button hole), a zipper, Velcro or just use the machine to sew the last end up or if you want fold in the edge and hand stitch it! Vvwwaalah!Gorgeous cushion!

If you want to get a bit more fancy, try sewing other different coloured fabrics on the top and bottom or sides of your cushion! If you want a bit more of a rustique look, make the fabrics uneven in width.

The end result is gorgeous and its sooooooo easy to make! Enjoy your cushions!
